How can you tell if an electric fence is working?
Depending on the type of energizer machine that you have installed, it should be able to indicate the status at a glance. For example if using JVA energizer machines, it will indicate the status of the fence with the output voltage being lower than 4KV. Also it will trigger the fence alarm.
Comparatively, if using Hammer EZ630 or 640, the fence indicator led lights will not flicker all the way up. It will also trigger a fence alarm with a siren sounder and a strobe light.
At the same time, you may hear some clicking sound on the fence.
Why is my electric fence clicking?
You may have noticed that your electric fence has started to click at some corner of the fence. In the event that this clicking sound continue, you can check if there is anything touching the fence wires.
